I am a fully qualified technician having been trained by Finishing Touches Ltd, the market leader in micropigmentation. Finishing Touches are trainers for Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.

I am also an Advanced Specialist in eyebrow techniques having worked on a one to one training program with Nilam Patel from Nouveau Contour, famous for T.V. credits such as Extreme makeover, 10 years younger and Jades Salon.

Semi Permanent Makeup (micropigmentation) allows the recipient the benefits of looking their best at all times without the time, cost and hassle of application and reapplication. Permanent makeup is the introduction of pigments into the skin as an alternative to removable cosmetics.

It is a treatment whereby hypo-allergenic pigments are implanted into the dermal layer of the skin. It mimics perfectly applied conventional make up and emphasises your features.

By creating beautifully shaped permanent eyebrows with hair simulation or colour mist technique, an eyebrow enhancement can lift the face giving a more youthful appearance.

Semi permanent makeup is especially useful is especially useful to people who have physical limitations that restrict them from applying their own makeup.

Semi Permanent makeup can even up unsymmetrical features, create the illusion of thicker lashes and give shape and definition to lips.

As an advanced technician I believe that Permanent makeup can have impressive and satisfying results, but successful results are dependent on the education and experience levels of the technician who is performing the procedure. Applying permanent make up is not just an art form; it is also a science in the sense that it is a methodical activity whereby knowledge is gained through experience. A technician must have an insight as to how the skin heals, colour theory, eye and hand co-ordination and communication skills to perform to the clients satisfaction. It is worth bearing in mind that all pigments will eventually fade. Fading is a matter of climactic variables and client lifestyle, as well as the pigments. 

Depending on skin type and life style, semi permanent make up can last for two to five years.

Once you have had your initial Permanent Makeup procedure done the colour will fade gradually. The longevity of your result will depend on a number of factors. On average the colour will remain visible for approximately 2 - 3 years. I would recommend a make-up refreshing colour boost every 18 months to keep results looking fresh.
